Nautilus restaurant

Nautilus is a sophisticated restaurant in the Lakka district of Mykonos Town, bringing together authentic Greek hospitality and contemporary Mediterranean dining. Its culinary identity is shaped by fresh Aegean seafood, local ingredients and modern interpretations of traditional flavours. However, within Mykonos’ highly competitive restaurant landscape, the business needed a more coherent presentation capable of communicating both the quality of its cuisine and the intimate character of the dining experience.

Design Individuals were responsible for the restaurant’s rebranding, creative consulting and photography. The central strategic decision was to express Nautilus through understated maritime references rather than predictable nautical decoration. The identity needed to feel connected to the Aegean and the restaurant’s seafood-led menu while maintaining the refinement expected from contemporary dining in Mykonos Town.

The rebranding was implemented through a renewed visual direction, coordinated typography, colour and graphic language, and a dedicated photographic approach covering the dishes, ingredients, interiors and atmosphere of the restaurant. These elements were brought together across the restaurant’s communications to present the cuisine and physical environment as parts of one consistent experience.

The resulting work gave Nautilus a clearer and more distinctive position within Mykonos’ evolving gastronomic scene. The restaurant can now communicate its combination of local authenticity, contemporary technique and refined hospitality with greater consistency, differentiating itself through substance and sense of place rather than conventional island imagery.
